Preamble
This notice describes the cookies and other storage that Burhani Rubber Products (the “Company”) places on your device. It forms part of the Terms of Use and is to be read with the Privacy Policy.
1. What these are
A cookie is a small piece of data a website places in your browser, which the browser returns to that website with later requests. A website may also keep data in the browser’s local storage, and a service worker may keep copies of a website’s own files so that it opens quickly.
2. The Website
The Website at burhanirubber.com places no cookie and keeps nothing in your browser’s storage. In particular, it uses no:
- analytics, statistics or session-recording tool;
- advertising, retargeting or tracking pixel;
- fingerprinting of your browser or device;
- social media button, embed or widget; or
- script or font loaded from any other website. Its fonts are served from the Website itself.
No third party places a cookie through the Website. Sending an Enquiry stores nothing on your device.
3. The Business Systems
The Business Systems at app.burhanirubber.com are used only by persons the Company authorises. They keep the following on a device that signs in.
3.1 One strictly necessary cookie
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
__Host-br_session | Keeps the device signed in. It holds a random token, of which the server keeps only a hash. No script can read it, it is sent only over a secure connection, only to app.burhanirubber.com, and never with a request started by another website. | Until sign-out, or ninety (90) days after the device was last used |
This cookie is indispensable to a service the user has asked for, and no separate consent is sought for it. Blocking it makes signing in impossible.
3.2 Local storage
| Key | Holds |
|---|---|
br.theme | The chosen light or dark appearance |
br.sidebar.collapsed | Whether the side menu is folded |
br.push.registered | That this device has been registered for notifications |
3.3 The application cache
A service worker keeps a copy of the application’s own files so that it opens quickly, and receives notifications where the user has turned them on. Business data is never cached on the device: every figure is fetched from the server when it is shown.
3.4 SimplyTally
On the Windows computer where it is installed, SimplyTally keeps its settings and the name the server gave that computer in the user’s application data folder; a working copy of what it has read from Tally and has still to send, in a local database there; and its sign-in token in Windows Credential Manager, never in a file.
4. Your control
- Your browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data. On the Website there is nothing to delete. On a Business System, deleting the cookie signs the device out, and deleting the local storage restores the default appearance.
- Signing out of a Business System removes the cookie and ends the session on the server.
- Because nothing on the Website tracks you, a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal changes nothing there.
5. Changes and contact
The Company may amend this notice by publishing a revised version with a new effective date. Questions about it may be sent to admin@burhanirubber.com.
